Deal of the Hour does not collect or store any personal data — neither from merchants nor from their customers. The app operates entirely through Shopify's own APIs using the permissions you grant at installation, and all data (products, orders, discounts) remains within your Shopify store.
We do not collect, store, or have access to any personal information about your storefront visitors or customers — no names, email addresses, payment details, or browsing behaviour.
Because we do not collect any data, there is nothing to share. We do not sell, rent, or transfer any information to third parties under any circumstances.
The app requests certain Shopify API permissions (such as reading products and managing discounts) solely to deliver its core functionality — running timed deal campaigns on your storefront. This access is governed by Shopify's own terms and privacy policy, which you can read at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
The app does not use any cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics tools. The storefront widget loads via your store's theme and does not track, identify, or profile your customers in any way.
Deal of the Hour is a merchant tool and is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect any information from minors.
